The introduction course is designed to be accessible to everyone and teaches you the basics of data analytics in football. You don’t need to work in professional football or have advanced statistical knowledge. A basic understanding of football and statistics is useful.
It’s very simple. You will need to create an account on our courses website, then you can watch the course videos at a time that suits you. There are some exercises to complete during the course which you can also do at your leisure, there’s no need to send these back to us, they are for you to test your learning.
There are 5 modules, each lasting about 40 minutes.
It’s £60 inclusive of any relevant taxes for all 5 modules, payable before you start. No student discounts or refunds available.
You can email [email protected] with any questions about the course.
This is a web based course - we recommend using Chrome but it also works on Safari. We recommend watching the videos in 1080p - you can set the video resolution in your settings when watching each video (bottom right hand corner of your screen). There are no particular tools or software introduced in this course. However at the end we do link to some of our existing resources for getting started with data (especially our R/python packages).

While staying away from anything that requires a Masters in Data Science, James and Ted do a really great overview of how teams are starting to look at integrating data into their decision making. Excited for more!
